Saturday Photohunt: Signs
This is a repost. I found this last fall and thought it hilarious. The photo was taken through my car window while stopped at a stop light. We live in the boondocks and not so many people even had internet access let alone a computer up until a few years ago. Many people have no clue what a “blog” is, especially in the area this sign is. I passed this sign for two months once a week and did a double take every time.
The sign does not say “Blog for lease”–it says BLDG (short for Building) for lease. 🙂
good one!!
LOL! nice one for the theme.. mine’s up now hope you can visit.
ha!ha!ha! great catch for the theme. Hope you’ll visitmine too.
It does look a bit like Blog for Lease. My imagination is running away with me at the possibilities. ;D
That was a cute interpretation.
I read “Blog for Lease” too and thought that maybe the lessors also had a bridge they wanted to sell someone.
We have a similar one here that I’ve been passing and that ‘D’ really does look like an ‘O’ at first glance.
Yeah I thought blog for lease too!
Hi, that is a great sign and is very funny the way it looks. I too thought it was an ‘O’. Great sign.
I came over because I know someone with your name. I have been here for half an hour reading your posts and your extra pages. What an awesome testimony. My friend Kim (Art4Life) was raised catholic. She and I became friends in high school. She had so many questions thinking my faith was weird. In college we rented a place together and she met her soon to be husband. He was raised similar to me so she already knew so much and felt prepared and convicted. They have been married for 20 years. You have a beautiful family. I can see how your daughters look like you and your son has a look like your husband. Of course there is a mix, but it is cool to see the family resemblances.
I home school here. We called it unschooling at one time, but our school boards call it traditional as in from 150 years ago. My children are 16,15,13 and 11. The 15 year old is a boy, the rest girls. They have curriculum now, but work on their own. They all have jobs. Our son didn’t read until 10, his youngest sister at about 9 and a half. Our son reads a lot now, with interest in history and marine biology. He is on a sailing trip now. I read to them for hours when they were young, many historical fictions, biographical novels and character building novels. My philosophy was always,”Teach them to have a love for God, a good character and good work ethic and the rest will take care of itself”. It has paid off, and I am seeing the rewards God has given.
Keep up the good work.
I thought for a minute it was blog for lease hehehhehehe. Great shot thanks for sharing..

Yepm – it really looks like “Blog”. Don’t be surprised if this photo leaks out into the general blogipelago in a viral way 🙂

Funny!! Maybe someone wants to lease my blog? 🙂
Oh, that’s too funny! Maybe I should consider leasing my blog out while I’m too busy to do it justice!!
I’ve enjoyed a quick read through your last few weeks!! Sorry I’m not here more often!
